La actividad industrial continúa consolidándose en la ZOFRATACNA. El día de ayer 4 de marzo se realizó la primera subasta pública de lotes y galpones del año 2008; en la cual ingresó una nueva empresa industrial. La nueva empresa es Creaciones Petrof de capital venezolano, que se dedicará a la fabricación de cocinas y congeladoras para el hogar, con una inversión inicial de US$ 165,000, la misma que generaría 23 puestos de trabajo en la primera etapa. Saúl Rivera Borjas advanced that after elevating recently elaborated Unique Text of Procedimientos Administrativos (TUPA) to the Ministry of Foreign trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), they are to the delay of the official notification of the office of the Econ.
